Welcome to Santa's Gatelodge, Milford, Co. Armagh
The 30th November 2012 sees the arrival of Santa to Milford’s Gatelodge. He will arrive for a well-deserved break but can only stay for 12 nights as he has to start getting ready for all his deliveries on Christmas Eve. As he’s here for such a short time, he can only see people who book in advance. Each visit to Santa will last 1 to 1.5 hours.
Mrs. Claus, the Elves and the reindeer will be accompanying Santa for this trip and as the elves really can’t take a break so soon to Christmas, they will be working away in the log cabin workshop behind the Gatelodge. Mrs. Claus has said she will put on a log fire and that the children who come to visit can toast their marshmallows around it. She has very kindly agreed to make lots of mince pies and other home baked goods for all the visitors who are coming to visit Santa. She will have some mulled wine as a treat for Mum and Dad.
Santa says he can’t wait to meet all the children in Armagh and will want to hear what they want for Christmas. He says he will be having a word with Mums and Dads to check that the children have all been good all year.
Some of Santa’s helpers will be able to show visitors how to make reindeer dust and Christmas crafts. There will be other helpers doing a ride to Manor House and you may see the characters of Christmas who live there!
The reindeer will be staying around Manor House, so you may be lucky to see one if you visit. Santa says they need lots of food to give them plenty of energy for all their travelling they have to do on Christmas Eve.
So Santa, Mrs. Claus, the Elves and Reindeer are all really looking forward to meeting everyone before Christmas. So please call in and see them, especially to make sure Santa knows what you want for Christmas.
